In short
NetWorth+ is a free Android personal finance app for the GCC and India that tracks net worth, budgets, credit cards, loans and shared expenses without connecting to a bank. Compared with Splitwise it adds a full financial picture and no daily entry cap, but Splitwise is on iPhone and far more widely installed. Compared with Mint, which closed in March 2024, it covers budgeting that Credit Karma dropped, but offers no credit score. Compared with YNAB at roughly $109 a year, it is free and multi-currency, but does not enforce a budgeting method. Against bank-linked apps generally, it trades automatic categorisation for never holding your banking credentials.

The comparisons
Two are regional buying guides rather than head-to-heads, because in the Gulf the question is usually which approach works here, not which brand is best.

CompareHow these are written
A comparison written by one of the parties is worth reading only if it is disciplined about a few things.
If something here is out of date or wrong, write to [email protected] and it will be corrected. That is a low bar, and a surprising number of comparison pages elsewhere do not clear it.
Where this applies
Most of these comparisons are framed for the Gulf and India, because that is where the standard advice breaks down — the apps that top international lists are usually ranked on a bank connection that does not reach banks in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman.
NetWorth+ also covers India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and the United States. Currency handling is not limited to the list above — three-decimal dinars and zero-decimal currencies are treated correctly rather than being forced into two decimal places.
