A rider holding company cash in Dubai and a freelancer waiting on a London invoice do not need the same explanation. Pick the situation that looks like yours.
In short
NetWorth+ is a free Android personal finance app used across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and India. It tracks net worth, budgets, credit cards, loans and shared expenses without connecting to a bank, and can read bank alert SMS on the device with permission so transactions fill themselves in. The pages below describe how it fits particular situations — sharing a flat, sending money home, driving for a delivery platform, freelancing across currencies, running a household, carrying several cards or loans, or having arrived in the country last month.

Read moreThe common thread
These situations look unrelated. They share a constraint that most personal finance software is not built around.
In the Gulf and in India, the apps that automate everything do it by connecting to your bank — and in this part of the world that connection often does not exist, is not offered, or is not something people are willing to grant. So the choice on offer is usually automation you cannot have, or manual entry you will not sustain.
NetWorth+ takes the third route: your bank already sends you an SMS for every transaction, so the app reads those on the phone, with your permission, and puts them in front of you for approval. The text is processed on the device and is not uploaded. No credentials are involved because there is nothing to log into.
Where this applies
The pages above are written from the Gulf outwards, because that is where most of this app's users are and because the specifics matter — a rent cheque in Dubai, a payout cycle in Riyadh, a bank alert format in Doha. Everything on them applies elsewhere too; the examples would simply be different.
NetWorth+ also covers India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and the United States. Currency handling is not limited to the list above — three-decimal dinars and zero-decimal currencies are treated correctly rather than being forced into two decimal places.
